We went to Marionette Museum and LX Factory, a transformed community from warehouses into restaurants, cafes, bars, shops and offices. This place reminds me of the Artist District and Brewery Artist Lofts in Los Angeles.
We arrived hungry there around 11:30am but most restaurants open at noon or 12:30pm.
I was feeling like a burger but they open at 12:30, then we went to the Mexican place a friend mentioned.
They have tacos, burritos, Tequilas and more, but no Mexican beer…
There is a wrestling ring in the center of dining area.
They brought chips & salsa (pico de gallo) + water and we ordered Super Bock, a Portuguese beer. Pico de gallo was really good because of fresh and juicy tomatoes.
Mine: Pescado Baja Tacos 10.40€, I liked my fish taco although it’s totally different from what I expected. Fish is not cod or other white fish we usually found in California but more like mackerel type of fish. It tastes much fishier in a good way and very Portuguese in a Mexican form.
His: Carnitas Tacos 8.70€, He was a little disappointed with carnitas because BBQ sauce was too sweet. With hot sauce it tasted more like Mexican carnitas. Btw, green one is tomatillo and red one is tomato puree on the side. Again tomato puree is so good because of tomato tastes good, I think.
I felt a little guilty to eat tacos by hand since it’s supposed to eat everything with folk and knife in Portugal. So I tried a bit and it was frustrating… :p
