Since our bathroom is not available, we went to the market to use a bathroom. I was surprised there was a long line for my favorite bakery. I always avoid grocery shopping on weekends.

Ouch! Bathroom is a mess…

Breakfast: French with pistachio cream, coffee @ 7:20 a.m., Arroz de Pato (duck rice) & soup @ 10:30 a.m.

There’s been a leak issue in other units of this apartment building since last December. Recently some plumber “found” a crack on the pipe that is located very closed to our bathroom. So today we have two gentlemen to replace the pipe or fix the crack. But! They need to break the wall to reach the spot. OMG…there was no crack on the pipe that had been previously reported, but they still see the water. Now they need to come back to break another wall to reach a different pipe… It’s very inconvenient not be able to use the bathroom for hours. Plus, we can’t go anywhere to spend time or use a bathroom because of the “lockdown” in Portugal. Shoot!

Lunch: Kebab sandwich @ 1:40 p.m. I went out to use a bathroom in the market nearby and picked up lunch.

Simple bread with butter & pate, olive pizza bread, wine @ 5:00 p.m. after they left.

Tea with cherry syrup @ 7:15 p.m. Stressed out because they will come back to work in the bathroom again tomorrow.

Sushi Lunch by Glovo

Delivery lunch by Glovo: Chirashi lunch, “California roll” + wine @ 2:30 p.m.

Glovo is so popular as UberEats in Lisbon. Since my favorite sushi place, Aron works only with Glovo, I ordered through it for the first time. Two appetizers and miso soup come with Chirashi. The rolls in the middle picture is called California. Fresh salmon, cooked shrimp and avocado are inside. It’s different from one we know in California but it tastes very good 🙂

Carne de Porco À Alentejana

Bacalhau à Brás salada & Cerveja Preta @ 12:50 p.m. I tried a new recipe of Portuguese dish today. While cooking, we started enjoying appetizer and beer.

Lunch: Carne de Porco À Alentejana & rice @ 1:20 p.m.

It’s unique because I’ve never seen a dish combined pork with clams. Again it has a lot of umami.

We finally finished creme de leite.

Polvo À Lagareiro

Takeout lunch: Polvo À Lagareiro (Portuguese grilled octopus) & Bife de Peru (grilled turkey) + wine @ 12:40 p.m.

Vegetable & octopus were so good. I really like Portuguese rice too. Generally Portuguese food has a lot of umami.

We took an hour walk around Saldanha and stopped by a bakery on the way home.

Burger + Portuguese White Wine

This morning two plumber and the property owner came over and investigated for some leaks in other units. It took longer than expected, so I started enjoying wine and empada de pato (duck pie).

Lunch: Cheese & Avocado Burger + Wine @ 2:10 p.m.

We have a burger at home once in a white.

We took a walk to exercise to the highest view point in Lisbon, but it was very cloudy and prohibited to get in there.
