Chop Steak (Costeletas)

Breakfast: Caldo verde, rustic bread & butter @ 8:15 a.m.

We went to a supermarket after breakfast. In Lisbon most supermarkets have seafood sections like this. Isn’t it amazing!?

Picked up our favorite bread as well. It tastes simply like wheat by the slow fermentation process. This huge bread, probably 500-750g with a lot of love costs only 3€.

“Lanchar” (Snacking in Portuguese) @ 11:00 a.m.

Lunch: Chop steak (Costeletas) with yellow bell pepper, red wine @ 1:40 p.m.

Chocolate time!

Evening snack: Soba @ 5:00 p.m.

A Hidden Café with a Fantastic View of Lisbon

I had brunch with a friend at the cafe she found. It’s truly hidden and I would never know there was a cafe inside from the street.

Salmon salad (8€), Avocado toast (4.50€), Today’s soup (2€), a glass of white wine (3€) @ 11:45 a.m.

On the day, the weather was unstable, clear and raining then clear again with a rainbow!

We had dessert and coffee too (12:45 p.m.). Everything was so tasteful and service was very comfy. Love it!

Later on (3:50 p.m.) we had hot chocolate. It was the best! Rich not too sweet and good amount of cacao. Just perfect for me @ Chocolataria Equador

Tonkotsu Ramen @ Kapitan

My lunch: Tonkotsu Ramen & Portuguese beer (Super Bock) @ 2:00 p.m.

It was not bad although noodle was obviously overcooked. Broth and chashu were nice. It reminded me of ramen in Southern California I used to live.

Breakfast: Bolo de laranja, coffee @ 7:40 a.m.

2nd breakfast: Caldo Verde, bread & butter from Azores @ 10:00 a.m.

Craving Tonkatsu Sauce

I was craving Japanese ‘Tonkatsu Sauce’ so I made Menchi-Katsu for lunch @ 1:45 p.m.

It’s interesting the katsu tastes like Portuguese dish without sauce but becomes Japanese with sauce. He had it with black pepper instead 🙂

Dessert: Cheesecake ice bar @ 3:40 p.m.

Later the afternoon, I prepared ‘Caldo verde’ for tomorrow.
