Bacalhau à Brás & Encruzado

Lunch @ 12:45 p.m. Basically it’s to stir fry onion, garlic, desalted & cooked bacalhau, stripped potatoes and egg all together. It came out very good. Since it’s so easy that I would cook again soon.

I forgot to add olives at last. Shoot!

We had cold soba as well.

Black Angus Beef Steak & Red Wine

Lunch: Angus Beef Steak, salad, wine @ 1:00 p.m.

I should have taken a picture of inside the steak…This is what I repeatedly order online for delivery. It’s frozen, so easy to store in freezer and thaw a night before whenever we feel like steak. It’s very convenient and always delicious!

Followed by instant chicken noodle (Continente Brand)

Leftover Chicken & Delicious Red Wine

Lunch: Leftover from yesterday @ 12:20 p.m.

This red wine, Jardim de Granito from Dão region, Portugal is very delicious. Portuguese red is generally a blend of multiple kinds of grapes and very smooth, but this one is even smoother with fruity aroma and elegant finish. The price is unbelievable (8€). Love it!!!

Dessert from Docel @ 1:10 p.m.

Cooking Fresh Clams for the First Time

Breakfast: Vegetable soup, bolo de chocolate, rolo de canela, coffee @ 8:30 a.m.

I took a look at several recipes online and simply cooked them with white wine & garlic.

I looks good but not really. It was too salty. I probably put too much salt in the water to let them breath sands out.

I added rice and egg into the clam soup to make “risotto.”

Menchi-Katsu & Korokke for his Birthday

We had been talking to go dine at Hard Rock Cafe, Lisbon for his birthday for last two months. Obviously he misses American food and culture, I guess. However, the Portuguese government has decided “lockdown” similar to one in March-April 2020. That means we can’t dine out at any restaurants…I feel so bad for him 😦

Lunch: Menchi-Katsu & Korokke with salad, rice, rose wine @ 1:00 p.m.

Trying to make him happy with something he like

I made Tiramisu too
