Breakfast: Salame de chocolate, doughnut, coffee @ 5:40 a.m., We had an online reunion with friends in Malaysia at 6:00 a.m.Yakisoba & Canja @ 8:30 a.m. After the online meetingCream Puff from Docel @ 9:30 a.m. I was so hungry this morning…Leftover Indian Curry & Rice, wine @ 12:20 p.m.Lunch: Bacalhau À Brás, wine @ 1:00 p.m.
This morning two plumber and the property owner came over and investigated for some leaks in other units. It took longer than expected, so I started enjoying wine and empada de pato (duck pie).Lunch: Cheese & Avocado Burger + Wine @ 2:10 p.m.We have a burger at home once in a white.
We took a walk to exercise to the highest view point in Lisbon, but it was very cloudy and prohibited to get in there.
He requested Indian curry for lunch, but the restaurant I usually get curry lunch was closed, which is unusual so I hope they would be ok. Anyway I went to another place.
Indian lunch: chicken curry, rice, bread, salad (7.50€/person) @ 12:50 p.m. Curry is spicier than the usual one.

Breakfast: Scone with butter & cherry sauce, bolo de laranja, coffee @ 7:10 a.m., Canja de galinha @ 11:40 a.m.
It was not intentional but totally coincident that I prepared “pancake” for breakfast on Pancake Day.I really wanted warm Soba (with egg and cress) @ 11:10 a.m.Somehow I was hungry all the time today.
Lunch: Easy pizza with Alentejano wine @ 1:30 p.m.
We took a little walk and had a soda (Portuguese version of fanta) afterwards @ 5:30 p.m.
Lunch: Pasteis de Bacalhau com Arroz de Tomate, requested by him @ 1:30 p.m.This time I desalted bacalhau perfectly but the final pastel was a bit too soft and flaky. Initially I made a huge mistake such as I forgot to add one of the most important ingredients, eggs!!! Therefore, the potato and bacalhau were falling apart in the oil…I messed up a half of it but saved other half.We had a part of failure too.Dessert
We ordered 3-course-Valentine’s Day Meal for two (65€) by A Taberna da Rua das Flores, which I believe is one of trusted and respected restaurants in Lisbon. Of course it’s one of our favorites. Lunch time @1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m.
They had two kinds of drinks, Cocktail Sacaninha or Sparkling wine (Espumante in Portuguese). I choose the bottle (15€). It’s been a while and it’s nice to open a sparkling once in a while but I prefer non-bubble wine. Vinho Verde is exception because it’s really mildly bubbled. This was nice and good with the food anyway.
This is not a typical delivery food. I have to finish up putting in the oven and plating together.Entrada (1st course): “Royale” de Foie, Gelatina de Moscatel e Bolacha AmericanaPrato (2nd course): Empadão de Sapateira (Portuguese potato gratin with crab)
Mashed potato and saucy crab are layered
Sobremesa (Dessert): “Queques de Lava Escaldante” com Compota de Ginja e Poejo
Food was delicious and process of order to delivery was so smooth but we realize how much we miss dining out. Experience would never be the same and presentations are very important.
Breakfast: Scone & Bolo Lêvedo with Pistachio cream, melon, coffee @ 8:10 a.m.Lunch: O-Bento @ 11:10 a.m., I just put everything in the “bento” box. Two flavored pork, ginger & shio-koji, half boiled egg, sautéed cress & cherry tomato on rice. Cherry tomatoes are so sweet and very delicious!
It’s fun to eat in a different form sometime.
We took a walk up a hill in the afternoon. It’s clearer than yesterday.
Wanted to visit another viewpoint but it was closed because it’s prohibited to hang out in the park during the “lockdown.” However, people enjoy the weather in open parks and squares.“Ramen” @ 3:30 p.m.Still snacking: Chocolate, chips, red wine @ 5:15 p.m.
We live close enough to walk here and have been this park so many times but it was the first time to climb all the way up here on the viewpoint this afternoon.
It was a perfect day to take a walk and get relaxed a bit. It’s prohibited to hang out in the park but walking through is enough to breathe fresh air and get refreshed inside out.
Purchased bread, chocolate and cherry tomatoes at the grocery store near-by.
Breakfast: Bolo de caco with pistachio cream, melon, coffee @ 7:10 a.m.
I go to Lavandaria (self-service) to use a dryer especially for sheets and towels. In Lisbon it’s very humid and rainy in winter. Not common to have a dryer at home either.
First time to buy breads from a bakery on the way to grocery shopping. It’s a tiny place and there are always 3-4 people waiting outside, so I was interested. It’s very cheep like 0.78€ for 4 good-size bread but I am not a big fan of it. I enjoyed it with Sardine pate and wine anyway…@ 10:45 a.m.Lunch: Shio-koji sauteed pork, cabbage, rice, wine @ 1:00 p.m.Followed by Italian snackAfter the walking I finished pate with Bola de mistura (brown bread) and wine @ 4:30 p.m. I like this bread much better than one (carcaças) I had in the morning.
