I was here for an annual check-up in the morningBreakfast after the check-upLunch @ 3:20 p.m., I went to assist a friend to go to an emergency after my check-up.We got a Nespresso machine and now are able to enjoy a cup of fresh coffee anytime.
We took a 30 minute walk to Feira da Ladra, a famous flea market in Lisbon in the morning. It seems normal now that all venders and crowds are back to the street. We got home around noon and had iced tea, then I started cooking for lunch.Lunch: Pasteis de Bacalhau, tomato rice, cress, red wine @ 3:15 p.m.Dessert: Ice cream
Caldo verde, empada de pato, Douro red @ 11:50 a.m.
Douro red is mostly blended with multiple grapes but this is only Touriga Nacional. Mmmm, I am not a fan of it because it’s more intense and less smooth.Tried with croissant & sardine paste but still didn’t like it much.Lunch: Linguini with meatball @ 2:30 p.m.Dessert
We went to Belém to see Jerónimos Monastery before it gets really busy with tourists in summer
Sandwich lunch @ Pão Pão Queijo Queijo (it means “something black and white”), they serve “Subway style” sandwich and it’s pretty good. Of course we can’t miss the original Portuguese egg tarts, Pasteis de Belém.
Breakfast @ 7:40 a.m.Soup @ 10:45 a.m. After this, I went to a mercado and wine shop.I bought a really nice wine as a gift for friends. It costs 22€ and gets 4.3 stars on vivino. Lunch: Pork cheek curry & rice with asparagus @ 2:30 p.m.
