Sushi Lunch by Glovo

Delivery lunch by Glovo: Chirashi lunch, “California roll” + wine @ 2:30 p.m.

Glovo is so popular as UberEats in Lisbon. Since my favorite sushi place, Aron works only with Glovo, I ordered through it for the first time. Two appetizers and miso soup come with Chirashi. The rolls in the middle picture is called California. Fresh salmon, cooked shrimp and avocado are inside. It’s different from one we know in California but it tastes very good 🙂

Polvo À Lagareiro

Takeout lunch: Polvo À Lagareiro (Portuguese grilled octopus) & Bife de Peru (grilled turkey) + wine @ 12:40 p.m.

Vegetable & octopus were so good. I really like Portuguese rice too. Generally Portuguese food has a lot of umami.

Indian Curry Lunch

He requested Indian curry for lunch, but the restaurant I usually get curry lunch was closed, which is unusual so I hope they would be ok. Anyway I went to another place.

Indian lunch: chicken curry, rice, bread, salad (7.50€/person) @ 12:50 p.m. Curry is spicier than the usual one.

Delivery 3-Course-Meal by A Taberna da Rua das Flores

We ordered 3-course-Valentine’s Day Meal for two (65€) by A Taberna da Rua das Flores, which I believe is one of trusted and respected restaurants in Lisbon. Of course it’s one of our favorites. Lunch time @1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m.

They had two kinds of drinks, Cocktail Sacaninha or Sparkling wine (Espumante in Portuguese). I choose the bottle (15€). It’s been a while and it’s nice to open a sparkling once in a while but I prefer non-bubble wine. Vinho Verde is exception because it’s really mildly bubbled. This was nice and good with the food anyway.

This is not a typical delivery food. I have to finish up putting in the oven and plating together.

Entrada (1st course): “Royale” de Foie, Gelatina de Moscatel e Bolacha Americana

Prato (2nd course): Empadão de Sapateira (Portuguese potato gratin with crab)

Mashed potato and saucy crab are layered

Sobremesa (Dessert): “Queques de Lava Escaldante” com Compota de Ginja e Poejo

Food was delicious and process of order to delivery was so smooth but we realize how much we miss dining out. Experience would never be the same and presentations are very important.

Tamboril (Monkfish) & Coelho (Rabbit)

We have been here for lunch several times and I find something I am interested to try on the facebook page today.

Takeaway lunch: Coelho à Caçador (Hunter style rabbit), Arroz de Tamboril (Monkfish rice), Sopa de cenoura cremosa (Creamy carrot soup) 15.40€ @ 12:50 p.m.

I like Monkfish rice but am not a fan of rabbit. It tastes a little bit gamey for me. The meat (front in picture) is liver.

Late afternoon some grocery & dessert I ordered a couple days ago was delivered (Remi, Italian Cafe)

Cannoli classic (3.50€) & Paris Brest Pistachio (4€)

Dessert @ 5:30 p.m.: Cannoli is crunchy and nice, but the filling is a bit too sweet for me. I really liked Paris Brest, cheese filling with raspberry, white chocolate and pistachio.

Take Away Lunch from Maxi-Serve

Went out to buy some pastries and lunch around 12:30 p.m. Now we can’t get inside the bakery or restaurant but have to buy at the entrance. At Maxi-Serve, there was a line as usual but social distance is longer. When I received my lunch and was leaving, 4-5 cops arrived there. Automatically I had “OMG, what’s going on!? ” in mind but they just came to buy lunch and were very friendly saying “Olá boa tarde!” to people.

Mine: Bacalhau à Gomes de Sá, His: Rolo de Carne (4€ each). Unbelievable deal!

Lunch with Green wine (vinho verde) @ 1:30 p.m. We love this home made food 🙂

Dessert: Doce da Casa & Mousse de Chocolate (1.75€ for two). We had only Doce da Casa today.

We have only the sky left, the most tough part.

Two Kinds of Brazilian Steak

We went to one of our favorite restaurants to pick up lunch. Since it’s located on the hill, it was a good exercise for us too.

Lunch: Maminha ao alho (left), Picanha (right) with rice, fries, feijão (Brazilian beans), salad + red wine @ 1:40 p.m. He likes maminha and I like picanha better.

This is wine sold for 2.50€ at a local store. Not bad 🙂

Dessert: Bolo de chantilly + earl grey @ 3:50 p.m.

Pirata Take Away Lunch

We started buying lunch at our favorites once or twice a week to support their business. Today, I went o Pirata.

Vitela Estufada (Veal Stew), Pataniscas de Bacalhau com Arroz de Feijão (Salted cod tempura with Bean rice), Empada de Galinha (chicken pastry), Pastel de Bacalhau (Cod croquette)

Take Away Lunch with Vinho verde @ 12:35 p.m. Everything was so good.

Dessert: Berry Cake from Docel (I got Baba de Camelo from Pirata, but we had this cake a day before, so the first-in should come out first.

Snacking @ 4:30 p.m.
