My Carbonara In Portugal

I started a two week language course today. It’s supposed to be a class for 2-10 but it became private because no one else signed up, which is nice since I am a very beginner to Portuguese.

1.5 hour private lesson instead of 3 hour in group actually works better for me since the class ends at noon. Lunch time is very important!!!

Lunch @ 1pm at home, Salad & leftover pasta

We went to bank and post office after lunch and bought a snack at a street vender.

Castanhas (roasted chestnuts) are a natural healthy snack for fall/winter season in Lisbon.  É delicioso!!!

I finally found the wine glasses I had wanted since we saw at neighborhood restaurants. Also, the store has a lot of good stuff and the lady is so charming. I will definitely go back.

Dinner @ 5:30pm, my carbonara turned almost perfect although I didn’t have all pots and tools I usually use in the US.

El Corte Inglés & Roasted Chestnuts

Our realtor introduced us to El Corte Ingles, a department store and a museum nearby. On Sunday after 2pm, the museum admission is free, so we went to explore around there.
