I remember that it was 5am when I checked the clock. When I checked the clock again to get up, it was somehow 7am already. Yes, I slept twice!
7am: Croissant with custard cream from a neighborhood bakery
This is not a perfect croissant but we both love its richness with custard cream.
10:30am: Chicken Soup to warm up
We were still hungry and had another pastry of coconut and cinnamon. Interesting combination.
Lunch @ 1:25pm: Leftover pasta with wine
I took a bus to Marquês de Pombal and walked down the Avenida de Liberdade (Avenue of Freedom) to Praça da Figueira to pick up some pastries at Confeitaria Nacional while he was studying Portuguese at home.
I climbed the steep hills as always from Metro station and got home around 4:40pm.
Taking a break in the middle and saying Boa Terde to Lisboa
Trying a Portuguese Mix Cheese (cow, goat & sheep)
Snack @ 5:15pm: Finishing the wine with cheese. Cheese tastes flavorful and mild.
We went to Campo de Santa Clara for one of biggest flea markets in Lisbon, Feira de Ladra. It was about 25 minute walk downhill.
Here are sceneries on the way there.
There were so many venders along the streets and in the venue and so many things were appealing to me. I tried not to buy anything since we gotta move to a new place soon, but I purchased a wallet which was so cute.
Took a coffee break
Latte (1.50 euros x 2) & Chocolate Cake (3 euros)
Riding the famous #28 Lisbon Tram on the way home
Buying cuts of fish
Cooking the fish in tomato sauce
Dinner Time @ 5:30 pm
Enjoying a wine the airbnb owner gave us
Very fruity and easy to drink
Snacking with a glass of wine. Vinegar flavor is so overpowering but I kinda like it at the end.
Second breakfast @ 8am: Ham & Cheese Sandwich + Chips, Earl Grey
Around 11am, I went to a pastelaria close by to get some pastries. Since we had an appointment with our realtor at noon, we would like to eat beforehands.
One with sausage and the other with coconut flavor. Both are ok.
After the appointment, we had to come home straight to let a plumber in and work. So I picked up kebab sandwich to go. It was nice to have something tasting familiar.
Since we were very hungry, we split a nata, which I bought this morning. Nata is always good but I want to taste the best one.
The sandwich was too big and I skipped dinner while he had some microwavable meal (sorry).
